Communities and religions
Buenos Aires is a cosmopolitan city, where it governs a complete freedom of worship, which makes it a tourist attraction and where the variety of temples is a cultural heritage. Over 150 years ago immigrants from all over the world arrived to Argentina and most chose to stay in Buenos Aires.
The city has a multicultural identity that is reflected in the diversity of religious cults that live in it. Although the official religion is the Roman Catholic, there are also places of other religions such as the synagogue of the Jews, the Mosque of Palermo and the largest Islamic temple in Latin America.
Temple of the Israelita Congregation in Argentina

Buildings started in 1897 and ended in 1932. It is a Byzantine-style temple, with a synagogue, the headquarter of the Israelite Congregation of the Argentine Republic (CIRA) and a museum of Jewish history, exhibiting documents and objects of the Jewish community and a collection of religious art.
CIRA was the first Jewish association that was formed in the country.
Russian Orthodox Church of the Holy Trinity

The architect Alejandro Christophersen was commissioned to build this church based on the original design of the Holy Synod of Russia Mihail Preobrazensky. En 1904 it opened with a Muscovite style of the seventeenth century. On the front, in Venetian mosaic, we can see a representation of the Holy Trinity held in St. Petersburg.
Metropolitan Cathedral

Rivadavia and San Martín, San Nicolás
Neoclassical appearance, mid-nineteenth century. It keeps four centuries of religious art and in his mausolum the remains of General José de San Martín rest.
Islamic Cultural Center Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd

Opened in 2000 in the presence of the prince of Saudi Arabia. It is a religious complex with room for 1,500 people, has miranetes for prayers and water sources for the rituals.
